Crucial to the support of the commercial diving arena, this area’s broad applications also reach out to the general population, further increasing your career opportunities.
At National Polytechnic College of Science you’ll find the first accredited associate's degree program in Hyperbaric Medical Technology in the country, and will be prepared to stand post in a rapidly growing and powerful specialty of modern medicine. The delivery of oxygen at higher than atmospheric pressure, once applied primarily in the diving field, has broadened to a variety of hospital and clinical environments.
The Associate of Science degree with a concentration in Health Information Technology is designed to prepare students in one of the ten fastest growing career fields in the nation. Through this program students will learn the essential skills to help prepare them for a career in this growing health care field.
The Associate of Science degree in Substance Abuse Counseling is designed to meet state requirements for certification of alcohol and drug counselors. This program meets the requirements of The California Association of Alcoholism and Drug Abuse Counselors (CAADAC), a certification body recognized by the State of California.
EMT-B students learn techniques appropriate to providing patient care with an ambulance or transport service. This vital pathway to pre-hospital care is also the basis for the College's Diving Medical Technician and Hyperbaric Technician programs.
